What are even numbers?
Even numbers are numbers that can be divided by 2, for example, 0, 12, 54. An even number always ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8.

Zero is considered an even number.

What are odd numbers?
Odd numbers are numbers that cannot be divided by 2, for example, 1, 37, 59. An odd number always ends in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9.

To tell whether a number is even or odd, look at the rightmost digit.
For example, the number 255 is an odd number because it ends in 5, which is odd. Likewise, 702 is an even number because it ends in 2, which is even.
