Converting a Fraction with a Denominator of 100 to a Percentage

Definition

Percent means over 100 or out of 100. For example, 50 per cent written with the per cent symbol %, 50% is equal to 50 over 100 or 5010050100.

Formula

So, any fraction with a denominator of 100 can be written down as a percentage as follows

As we have seen above, 5010050100 = 50%

Similarly, 81008100 = 8%; 1010010100 = 10%; 2410024100 = 24% and so on
